Shortcut keys For Google Chrome

Google chrome have some shortcut keys you van save lots of your time by using them. some of them are:

1. You can drag a link between tabs to open the link in a new tab in the specified position on the tab strip.

2. Ctrl1-8 allows you to switch tabs by tab position on the strip. Ctrl-9 switched to the last tab.

3. Like Firefox you can drag the tab to a different position in the tab strip, the UI is smoother.

4. Use Ctrl-Shift-T to reopen the last closed tab. Chrome remembers last 10 closed tabs.

5. Many Firefox and windows shortcuts work as expected like Alt-F4 to close current windows, use Ctrl-w to close current tab, Ctrl-Tab to switch to next tab, Ctrl-ShifBoldt-Tab to switch to previous tab etc.

Manage tabs in Google Chrome with the Task Manager

Google Chrome allows us to manage, reload or shut down each tab without affecting the rest of our browsing. All This can be done through the Task Manager. You can shutdown an unresponsible tab without affecting other tabs by just select that tab and press End Process button.

To open Google Chrome Task Manager Window
PressShift and Escape or right click on the top bar and click Task Manager.



You can also examine the memory use of the opened browsers on your computer. Open task manager and click on the ‘Stats for nerds’ link at the bottom. A new tab opens with detailed memory info for all running browsers. The second part of the page describes Chrome’s process usage stats.

Use Browser as Calculator:

While surfing if you need to calculate some figure then no need to open calculator in window. You can do simple calculation easily in browser. It is done by simple javascript, which is described below. You just need to write that script in address bar and press enter. answer would display immediately in an dialog box.





javascript: alert(calculation part);
for example 
calculate 6+5 
write javascript: alert(6+5); in address bar and press enter.
answer displyed in dialog box as shown below.

calculate 6*5-2
write javascript: alert(6*5-2); in address bar and press enter.


You can use +, -, *, /, % and can perform calculation easily without open windows calculator.

Have FUN with Google - Try Google Gravity

Google Gravity is a Google Chrome experiment that initially loads a typical Google home page and then suddenly the elements are pulled down by gravity and you can start tossing them around!
This only works 100% in Google Chrome. If you run the page on Firefox, you won’t get the satisfaction of tossing the elements around!
Follow these Steps:
1). Open google.com.
2). Type Google gravity.
3). Click on I'm Feeling lucky.

Change Font settings in Google Chrome



Do you want to change tex size or to change font of your browser so that whenever you open any webpage it will be in your choosen font and text size? Here is steps to change font settings in Google Chrome. For mozilla Firefox read previous post.




Here are steps for Google Chrome




1). Open Google Chrome.
2). Click on the wrench icon (last icon on right hand side of address bar).
3). Click on Options.
4). Go to Minor Tweaks tab and click on Change Font and Language setting.
5). Now in font and languages window, You can choose the font and size for the text.

6). After choosing font and text size, Click on Ok.
Its done.
